On September 22nd, 2022, the press conference of Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition of Food & Beverages 2022 (HCMC FOODEX 2022) with the theme “Interconnection of Values and Development” took place with the attendance of about 100 representatives from the media and press agencies, as well as representatives of associations, organizations, and enterprises.

HCMC Foodex 2022 is hosted by Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC), in cooperation with Food and Food Association of Ho Chi Minh City (FFA), and CIS Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Joint Stock Company, organized from October 19th to 22nd, 2022 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center – SECC (District 7, HCMC).

Under the direction of ITPC, the press conference took place successfully, conveying information and highlights of the exhibition to the media and businesses.

Mr. Tran Phu Lu – Deputy Director of ITPC delivers a speech on HCMC Foodex 2022.

According to Deputy Director of ITPC – Mr. Tran Phu Lu, the F&B processing industry is one of the four key industries prioritized for development of the city, accounting for 13.78% of the production value of the whole industry, contributing 13 ,69% to the added value of the whole industry. The industrial production index of the F&B processing industry in the period 2015-2019 grew by an average of 7.04% per year. The city’s F&B processing industry has gradually shifted to in-depth development, many quality products and reputable brands have dominated the domestic market, replacing imported goods and have been exported to many countries all over the world.

“Not only is HCMC FOODEX 2022 a bridge helping domestic and international enterprises have cooperative opportunities, but it is also a forum for companies to exchange and share state-of-the-art technologies in the F&B manufacturing and processing industry. Visitors to HCMC FOODEX 2022 can directly access a variety of Vietnamese food, agricultural products and brands, and at the same time experience the rich world of international and Vietnamese traditional cuisine”, said Mr. Tran Phu Lu

Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition of Food & Beverages 2022 (HCMC FOODEX 2022) with the theme “Interconnection of Values and Development” is expected to attract the participation of more than 300 enterprises, organizations, domestic and international associations, with around 300 booths in the exhibition space of ​​about 5,000sqm, attracting over 18,000 visitors.
