The F&B industry is always one of the important economic sectors with great potential for development in Vietnam. Currently, Vietnam has signed free trade agreements, and this gives enterprises in the F&B manufacturing and processing industry many advantages for development. Domestic enterprises have quickly seized the opportunity and have focused on heavy investment in state-of-the-art equipment and technologies to improve production capacity, product quality, raise brand awareness and promote products to participate deeper in the world’s F&B supply chains.

Especially for Ho Chi Minh City, the F&B processing industry is one of four key industries prioritized for development of the city, accounting for 13.78% of the production value of the whole industry, contributing 13.69% to the added value of the whole industry. The industrial production index of the F&B processing industry in the period 2015-2019 grew by an average of 7.04% per year.
